A Complete Guide to European Roulette

European Roulette is a staple casino game that has been played for centuries. Iconic in brick and mortar casinos and popular in online casinos, in today’s article, we’ll be taking a closer look at how to play European Roulette.

What is European Roulette?

European Roulette is a game of chance in which participants attempt to predict where on a rotating wheel a little ball will land. The little sphere can land on one of 37 numbers written on the European wheel. This game has grown in popularity and recognition since it was first introduced to casinos. European wheel games can be found at the majority of land-based casinos and all live dealer casinos from the UK market.

Modern roulette has been played since two brothers, Francois and Louis Blank, introduced the single-zero version in 1843. Today, this is the key distinction that distinguishes it from other variants. European Roulette differs from American Roulette because it has only one 0. It is similar to French Roulette in this regard, but has a slightly different layout and doesn’t include rules such as ‘La Partage’.

How to Play European Roulette

The rules for each game can be accessed after signing up at online roulette casinos.Everything, including instructions on how to play European Roulette, is shown there. The betting process is quite simple when playing European roulette online, as one will discover. The player must place their chips on the selected wager and then click "Spin." After the betting round is over, the player must decide whether to continue playing (Rebet button) or end the game (Clear Bets button). Before or after the wheel starts spinning, players place their bets until the dealer says, "no more bets." When the wheel stops all players whose bets covered the winning number will receive a prize payout while all other players will have lost the round. The next round of roulette can now start.

European Roulette Rules

The basic rules of roulette are as follows:

  • On the roulette table, place your wager in the designated area.
  • The table limits for roulette wagers must be adhered to.
  • Before the dealer ends the betting round, bets can be placed on the roulette wheel.
  • Only the dealer touches the chips of the players who placed losing bets and pays the winners.
  • Throughout any playing session, you shouldn't touch the marker of the winning number. (This, of course, is if you’re playing in person).
  • A paytable is used to determine payouts for various winning wager kinds.
  • Before the dealer ends the betting round, bets can be placed on the roulette wheel.
  • The red and black pockets of a roulette wheel are numbered 1-36, and the green pocket is marked with a single zero.
